Separate learning from measurement
Coached practice is where you pause, inspect the rules and understand a solution. A mock is where you attempt a fresh set with the selected practice settings. Both are useful, but they answer different questions.
If you repeat a paper whose answers you remember, the score partly reflects memory for that paper. Deliberate review can still help you learn; it should be labelled review rather than presented as a new test of unseen performance.
Understand the timer and score
The timing shown in PSP is a practice setting. It is not evidence of the duration of a live Defence Forces assessment. Your own official invitation controls the sections, timing, navigation and permitted aids.
Use a consistent practice setup when comparing attempts. Note whether you paused, received help or used aids. A small score change across different conditions may tell you less than a clearly identified reduction in a recurring error.
Review after the attempt
Look at both unanswered and incorrectly answered items. A question left blank because of time calls for a different response from one completed quickly with a misunderstood rule. Reconstruct the working before checking a model explanation.
For each section, choose a concrete next action. Practise consistent character alignment, retain both arrow conditions, check operation order, preserve category positions or build the relation chain. Return to a fresh set when you can explain the method.
What fresh practice can honestly promise
An inventory is finite. A no-repeat policy should exclude previously issued canonical questions from new practice and tell you when that pool is exhausted. It should still allow deliberate review when you choose it.
Check the implemented course details for available practice modes and current inventory. PSP does not describe renamed or digit-swapped copies as an unlimited supply of independent problems, and does not turn its mock score into an official pass probability.
Questions about this stage
Is the mock time the official test time?
No. PSP practice timing is labelled separately. Follow the timing in your assessment invitation.
Can I review a question I have already seen?
Deliberate review is useful and distinct from a fresh attempt. Check the available runner options and review labels in your account.
