You are an Executive Officer preparing a briefing due to the Director in 25 minutes. You have verified that a formula overstates one region's completed cases by 15%; checks on the other regions passed. The Director will use the totals to allocate staff tomorrow.
Correcting the affected region and checking its contribution to the totals will take 10 minutes. Rechecking every region would take 90 minutes. Your manager is unavailable until after the deadline, but the deputy manager is available and authorised to approve the briefing. Figures must be approved before release.
